SAP Implementation
The biggest challenge to for most organizations embarking on an SAP implementation is the increasing demand for SAP talent and the push-pull of the SAP market. SAP AG (the company that makes the product SAP) continues to drive their product and solutions down into the mid-market.
There are far more $500 million and $1 Billion companies than there are $10 billion or $37 billion companies. As such, SAP AG has aggressively set a goal of 100,000 customers by the end of 2010.
The purchase of SAP by mid-market companies has put an even greater strain on the already limited supply of SAP talent. As these mid-market companies begin their implementations, they too pull from the limited pool of SAP talent.
To add to the challenge, many SAP professionals choose to become independent SAP Consultants due to financial, quality of life and other reasons. This again leads to a shortening of supply of good SAP talent.
One look at the number of open SAP jobs at any given time will paint a clear picture that the supply of available SAP talent is getting worse, not better. That’s why companies like SophLogic become a valuable partner for our customers.
